Old topic I know but without knowing the circuit there is no way to know really how well something that came with a 9V adaptor will cope with 12V - some devices have a regulator on the DC input anyhow which can handle a range of voltages other devices for instance might have capacitors near the input that are only rated for nominal voltage + 20-30% and sooner or later capacitors and voltage over their rating generally doesn't end well. Some devices might have high tolerance to a range of voltages others go up in smoke with more than ~10% over their design voltage and so on.
Yeah I understand that, but as the ac adapter is only powering the drivers and subwoofers, it is hard to say if it will survive. I was just ask here because I first saw this post when Googling and I have a new thread in gaming chairs
