Is Warhammer Online better than WoW?

I've managed to quit this game twice since it was released, I am more than certain there's something wrong with it because I don't like the way it looks, the way it feels, the way it sounds and the only real thing that interests me is the RvR and siege system, even that hasn't been fully tested by anyone (yet...)

I was at the Gamerbase game cafe at HMV Piccadilly today, they're mass advertising it but nobody is playing it.. I guess that, and the fact that two servers I've played on are now Low/Low shows that people are not enjoying the grind too much.

I very much agree mate, you got it spot on.

Nearly every person I work with is a major WoW geek, they all tried AoC and hated it but the general consensus is that WAR in the log run will work out better than WoW.

They are still playing WAR and enjoying it.

Can't comment myself as I hate the idea of any MMORPG that has levels! Bring back Ultima based skills systems :D

Having played WOW for 2+ years since release (on and off) and playing WAR just now - i'm gonna say WAR is a better game - this however may simply be because it is new and different and i don't know much about it.
There was a similar thing to wow, when I started playing it at beta it intrigued me the whole world thing because i didn't know much about it, it seemed vast.

Warhammer has decent graphics once you tweak the settings in your GPU control panel, but I was kinda dissapointed not to see more otions already there in-game.

Performance could do with a boost, but on the whole its good - its the kind of game that actually gets better with time.
Don't think I will play WOW again mind, time to move on for me!

The siege system hasn't been fully tested? In the 8 months I was in beta, with the given templates (31+), sieging was all that I and hundreds others did! City sieging was extensively tested on the US servers.
It's ok that people don't like facets of the game, but to spread lies about it stinks of an agenda.

I now understand where EA went wrong with Warhammer, lowest common denominator.

 Christopher  Christopher  Christopher

I blame it on all them recoloured models on WoW, one day Christopher you will discover originality and girls. WoW was fun back in 2004/5/6/7 just like UO was back in its day. Some of us have moved on and IMO WAR is the better game.

Pretty pathetic that people get themselves so defensive over their choice of game.

I currently have War installed. I quit WoW last year. Am i playing WAR like i used to play wow?, No.. Im playing it casually, popping on, doing some rvr, gaining a level. Then logging off. But im enjoying that and think its been worth the 28 quid i paid.

My approach to games has changed a bit I guess.

My mate brought his pc round mine the other night, I was having a bit play on War and he was on WoW, He was in a SSC raid, he was on for like 2-3hrs they wiped on a boss, then took another 30 mins to get ready for a second attempt.. after it wasnt working they all decided to give up.

I kinda realised that was one aspect of the game im glad i left behind. Spending them hours. Gaining No exp, a tiny bit of gold from trash, and the small chance of some loot.

No longer my cup of tea. cant be arsed with that any more

Brought on my opinion of WAR no doubt.

At least I had actually played the game, heaven forbid what I'd be getting from you if I was giving an opinion without experiencing it.

No...it's more your habit of countering perfectly reasonable arguments with juvenile comments, or just ignoring them altogether (I notice you're very quiet on Ramdor's excellent post on stun abilities in WoW).

I really have no problem with you not liking War, I really couldn't care less. It's more your habit of interjecting comments at every possible opportunity in completely off topic threads (about just about any mmo, not just War) about how great WoW is. Nobody cares.
