From the information so far the strike was where it was intended to be but between the point of it being called in and when it landed the Iraqi forces had moved forward :S
they called in support there were 2 strikes that hit the ISIS fighters, the troops then quickly advanced and engaged ISIS up close the US then turned up for a 3rd strike and bombed both sides

Hopefully this should put to bed some of the Russian-propagated rumours that Saudi Arabia is funding/supporting Islamic State.
Am I missing something? Saudi breaking off diplomatic relations with Iran wouldn't be a world war would it?
We are basically entering a new Cold War, except this time it isn't the west v Russia, but Saudi v Iran. It's been going on for a while and is probably only going to get worse before it gets better unfortunately.
