Issue with random pc crashes

After disabling addons I managed to have a long session without any freezes so it definitely seems like the addons were the culprit!
Managed to get Cities: Skylines installed and had a good long flawless session on there so it seems the problem's solved!
Thanks all for your time/help:)

Hi all,
After disabling addons I DID have some sessions without crashing, however, I suspect I just didn't test it for as long as I had before.
After a couple of sessions I had more crashes, I crashed on a few different games after checking, e.g, WoW, Cities Skylines, Dishonored.
So finally I tried the windows reinstall, I went back to 8.1 from 10 using my disc and that had fixed the problem...have thoroughly tested and haven't had a crash for a week now, so looks like Olivier Renault you were right!

I realise this thread has been quiet for a few weeks but wanted to report my experience for anyone still observing problems. I landed here after trying to track down a random crash in W10x64 on the OP Mobo, 16GB DDR4, i76700k. Eventually my research found that the culprit might be related to the memory being assigned to the Intel graphics.

My system was crashing randomly anywhere from W10 boot to about 20 minutes into the session. All attempts to mitigate were not successful. Figuring the memory/graphics combo was responsible I dug out a GTX750 card and installed. Right from installation the system became completely stable and ran for days....

Then I wanted to capitalise on quicksync so I enabled the function in bios from auto to on to enable the function in W10. Within minutes the PC was crashing (locking up, exactly like before).

Disabling the function restored stability once again. One can only hope that Gigabyte might produce a bios fix for this at some point but for now the only solutions I have found are to (possibly) use lower speed RAM (like 2133) or better still a dedicated graphics card.

All the best.
