It is with sympathy - Jean-F

Thought I'd just reproduce this here as some might not see the reply on the obituary page:

RIP Jean-F

I'm really glad we've managed to connect the dots between Real Life and Forums. It's good for us to know the outcome (as sad as it is), and must also be nice for his family to know how big a part of the community he was.

Oh ****. I've just seen this. Cheerio fella, RIP.

I'd sit back in my imaginary wing back and light an imaginary Hamlet cigar to many of your tales.

Just stumbled upon this after reading the Underboss thread, I had no idea!

Frank,we had some fascinating discussions over the years, you certainly had “The Knowledge” which used to help me out in London back in the day.

He reached out to me a good while back, unsolicited, offering any help with regards to traveling around London in a large hgv, he knew where to go, where was safe to park, where wasn’t, would even drop a line warning of an issue even if I was at the other end of the country (!) and some fabulous yarns most of which were so fantastic, they probably were indeed true (the truth is always stranger than fiction).

From a trucker to a cabbie, safe travels.

R.I.P.

How did I miss this? RIP fella.

Had some good banter with him on another forum before he joined here. He hardly ever mentioned it, but did any of you know that he used to drive a Black Cab?

One year on since Jean-F left us.

Hope you're up there telling your stories and driving your black cab in the sky.

I suppose only 10 months have passed since the thread was started which is why it doesn't feel like a year since we first heard about his passing, but that time has still flown by. Always enjoyed Jean-F's posts, they were always a good read. He is most definitely missed.
