Rosberg did that in Canada as well, he could have made the chicane in both circumstances but chose the faster corner overall. Because both in Canada and here he didn't lock up to the point where he missed the corner, it would just have been at that point so much slower to turn into the chicanes after a minor lock up as both times he'd have to take a very tight and slow turn.
That is what I don't like. If he'd locked up and been into the run off when the tire stopped locking up that is one thing, but when you actively choose the faster run off rather than a very slow corner you CAN make, I think that is pure cheating.
