Italian Grand Prix 2014, Monza - Race 13/19

To be honest, not that many people do take a cut off, it is usually slower in general by design hence the having the fake chicane. it's only when you screw up the corner but can still make it that the run off becomes faster. Most people using run off's really do screw up the corner significantly enough that they can't feasibly make it.

The thing with both of Rosberg's situations is they were tiny, tiny fraction of a second lock ups, not large lock ups where he lost all control, that is what's irking me about it.

Vettel in a different way is pushing it himself, though Alonso got warnings on one track for going over the lines, Vettel seems to do it almost everywhere.

I think his main objection was to the Jaws music playing in the background...

lol :p

seriously though, every race Hamilton hasn't had a problem he's been able to eat into Rosberg's lead(if behind) or pull out a gap(except in those races like starting from the back and getting ahead of Rosberg). As in Canada, he's just faster. But he's had a huge disadvantage early in the race to push him back, gains that time back and then Rosberg will have cleaner tires and the probably 1-2 second gain of pitting first.
