Yeah, he's just managing it. Hamilton just got to a certain gap then slowed down a bit. There is always the chance that Hamilton could burn out tires and suddenly be much slower, he was also using a little more fuel than in the rest of the race to pull out that gap. I say that just because Hamilton was about 1kg less fuel used around the 60kg mark and still the same gap at 82kg, so effectively Hamilton upped his fuel usage a bit to pull out that gap. So he's turning it down, saving fuel a bit, managing his tires and fuel to be stronger in the final laps.
