One of my favourite tracks and Hamilton with plenty of engines - no need to manage parts as much anymore. Race on!
Felipe Massa announces retirement at end of season. Jenson to Williams then?
Monza is very easy on tyres, softs and even super softs will last "forever" here, unless Pirelli have enforced a higher minimum race pressure than last year (which was 19PSI IIRC).
Great circuit, great history, great fans. Good stuff
They always tail off when new regs are about to come in, though the last change they tailed off massively!I agree, really don't understand what has happened to Williams this year
wahoo. he never was the same after the accident, frees up a seat.
Almost a second clear of the field in FP1, looks ominous, but early days!
Mer was supersoft vs soft ferrari, however they will run away with pole, the interesting fight is ferrari/rb. Ferrari have spent their remaining tokens for the engine so hopefully a good battle.

Merc did their fastest times on the soft, not supersoft. They did a supersoft run first, soft run towards the end with the 1:22 time. It's not that they are slower on supersoft, just they obviously had less fuel and engines turned up more for the run on softs vs ss.
