Feels odd this result. Hamilton, who has really made a go of getting 1st will have to settle for 3rd, simply because the tyres cant cope with actual racing and because Leclerc got away with two very dodgy moves to keep him behind.

Kind of just demonstrates that you are better off not bothering to race. He could have strolled easily to second i'm sure.

No need until a couple of laps before the end. If Bottas can catch Leclerc, there is always a possibility Hamilton could take advantage if anything untoward happens. Wait until the last 2-3 laps, pit, and gain fastest lap.

It's not so much racing hard, it's more that he pitted 7 or 8 laps earlier. Even though all year basically he who pits last... wins, or gains places, and generally does much better.

No idea when Merc didn't pit him straight away and give him 10-11 laps, he could have been 2 seconds a lap faster, he might not have been but he may have been at which point let him go for it, if not, relax and take the point for fastest lap.
