Verstappen is an excellent driver. His flaw and his strength is how he approaches wheel to wheel racing with a rival.

he’s uncompromising, it’s him or neither of them.

Bit harsh on Max, fairly sure he comes in to this race with no penalty points on his license and not sure when he last had points last year? Fairly sure LH will have more than him at the moment so does that make LH a regular cause of crashes and a poor driver?

The drivers will always go for tiny windows as that is what they do. They will push the limits of acceptable to get points and wins as it is in their nature. The worst driving this year by far has been from Mazapin who seems to create dangerous situations from even the most benign racing.

Both LH and MV race hard, but I wouldn’t say that either causes a significant number of crashes compared to the general field. The amount of close racing they do will always mean there is a greater risk than with other drivers, but I don’t think either have committed a move that needlessly or intentionally put the other at risk.

Verstappen strikes me as a time trialist and not a racer. He consistently puts himself and those around him in no win positions imo. I'm sure he will learn over time but at the minute he comes across as a bit of an ass with a blinkered perspective.

How long will it take though? he's been in F1 for a good few years no and still doesn't appear to have learned anything.

Just watched it and it seems similar to Silverstone, in that it was just a case of neither of them yielding. If it was me I'd put it down to racing incident, just like the last time they came together.

I do like watching Hamilton just not taking any of Max's **** anymore though :D

Both I think are now in the mindset of just not backing out to the other.

That's not racing, that's just a lack of skill. Max smashes into people because he has no tactical thinking, and doesn't have the skill to do clean overtakes in difficult situations. F1 drivers have to trust each other that they are going to follow the same rules and try to avoid accidents that are avoidable, or else you just can't trust the drivers around you not to do something that will get someone killed. There are enough truly accidental racing incidents where people can really be hurt, without Max forcing crashes because he won't ever yield a position that isn't his in the first place or he's already lost. Sooner or later Max will really hurt someone, as he would have done today were it not for the halo.
