Just like any beemer manufactured car Mini is priced up mainly on basis of perception and looks and just like any beemer it will be worth its money only when bought used after 3-5 years. £18,250 for Cooper S with half leather and chilli pack... That will make your wallet sweat blood.

No. Official quoted power of the 1996-1998 Silvertop engined variants was 136bhp - it was exactly the same engine as used in the Mk1. In 1998, the Blacktop was introduced and quoted as 130bhp even though none of the modifications undertaken to the engine would be expected to reduce power output. Most Blacktop's make approx 135-138bhp on the RR. I guess I was lucky

Well the Mini has gone back, but before it did, I took it for a spirited drive along a nice road.

It's actually pretty good fun if you keep the revs up. Great little car. Sure, its a bit cheap, but then, so is a Fiesta.

I like the new MINI.

Zetec-S is £10400. Cooper S in spec like yours is £18500, go faster stripes are extra £60. Only bottom Copper Ones cost 12k. Why are we neat picking. Is Cooper now uber alles?
