UK citizens are eligible for the green card lottery now. Think the application time is around now.

I don't think it has anything to do with citizenship. It's tied to the "place of birth". An Indian ethnic person born in the UK with Indian citizenship can easily win a green card, whilst a white ethnic person born in India with British citizenship will likely struggle a lot to get a green card.

I mean my life has gone downhill the last few years. But I've found video games, chess and forum to be quite nice distractions. There's probably plenty of better hobbies looking into and enjoying. I also saw a quote from a billionaire music mongul and he said 'It doesn't matter how much money you have, you can only sit in 1 chair at a time'.

I'd probably to find a job/career that allowed me to spend time with my Mum, if she's your strongest relationship. Do you want a romantic relationship too? Your 40s is time of life that you're pretty attractive as a settled man with life experience. There's probably plenty of advice to be found if you're struggling connecting to women (or men depending on your inclination)

I want your thoughts on this idea I can't seem to get out of my head... I'm really struggling to find a job, maybe it'll happen eventually but this side of Christmas seems unlikely, so maybe I stick with the search until June or so, but there must be a line somewhere where I eventually give up...
