Its build day! Finally. First time builder. i5 2500k, OC but quiet Fractal build.

Okie Dokie here are some new pics.
I don't believe how addictive this is, I unplugged everything then redid it all trying hard to manage the cables. I didnt want to waste cable ties as I only have 4 left after wasting some the previous day..so used those plastic things that you get an abundance of.. I believe its okay to use these?

Those Sata power leads are a pain, with so much excess between drives!

Size becomes apparent :eek::eek:

Does anyone know what setting I should use for the CPU Fan considering the Kuhler is plugged into it? I'm sure I read somewhere it needs full power as its not just a fan and it controls the fans itself, but I couldn't find this information again..

Cheers for your help!

I think having that CPU Smart FAN Control as disabled as you have it is correct and it will be full power all the time like that, as for tidying the cables, get some cable tie holders (little square plastic holders with double sided tape) and you can use them to tidy things up, also you could braid some cables if your up for it, if not you can buy them pre braided

Cheers, yeah I used two old Sata cables as I wanted right angled ones and the mobo only came with two. The old ones being red makes them stick out a bit!

I've noticed that when I first turned on the system the first few times it seemed quiet, I could not hear it unless I really tired, however now it seems slightly louder and from what I can tell the noise is coming from the Kuhlers radiator area, so the two fans on it, not sure which.

Dunno if this is normal can be solved? Different fans? Or having both fans working off the Kuhler using a splitter?

She only just started working and not in Colchester, however 4 or so years ago she used to work on Crouch Street in that gothic'y shop that no longer exists..

Anyway that is a rather bad picture of her looking rather simple :P She looks different normally, more attractive haha.

great to see this got resolved quickly and that your new case turned up safe and sound.

build is looking great :)

Did you have to buy any extension cables for the psu to reach the 8 pin/24 pin board connections?

Looking at buying this case and psu for my Sandybridge build.

Yup, I got both, but only used the smaller one (8 pin), although it depends on how tidy you want to make it. For the price i'd say get them, then you have the option and easier to organise the cables with a bit more excess.

Sum up...It wasn't a stretch but the 8pin is deffinately needed, however the 24pin you can do without but helps.
