Its build day! Finally. First time builder. i5 2500k, OC but quiet Fractal build.

Updating the build..

Ordering two Gentle Typhoon fans at 1450rpm for the Kuhler as my stock fan is way noisy .

I'll then have a spare fan that is silent that I could possibly use with the other fractal case fans with the included controller.

Could someone explain how to use a Y splitter for fans? I've read you can't do it with something like the Kuhler as it needs the full volts, so where can you use a splitter?

Cheers

Yup, I got both, but only used the smaller one (8 pin), although it depends on how tidy you want to make it. For the price i'd say get them, then you have the option and easier to organise the cables with a bit more excess.

Sum up...It wasn't a stretch but the 8pin is deffinately needed, however the 24pin you can do without but helps.

Thanks for that. Couldn't place my order though cos the bank verification box doesn't show up on work's website! Will have to wait till next week now as I'm away for the next couple of days. Will give me time to check out what other fans I need to buy for the case.

Oh and my worst fears.. Case arrives broken, the whole front of the case is hanging off, plastic broken!

What now.. Phone OCUK I guess!

Whata bummer. Only day I was available to take delivery of it really and waited since Thurs last week.. doh'

Had the same problem. my case came today and got all excited and the front panel had completely broken off :/

Edit: Also like to add that it was the wrong colour as well. I ordered titanium grey, and its a silver arrow one. Either the manufacturer has some serious quality control issues or someones playing an unfunny joke.

it looks pretty well packaged, but obviously it's the front panel that is suscpetable from knocks to the side of the box and completely wrecking the plastic pins holding the front panel to the chassis.

i think it is an awesome case. and by far one of the best noise suppressive cases on the market. it's just a shame that getting it to some customers is it's downfall.

Ah terrifying photo, I wonder how this happens. The case seems very well built so it must have had a proper incident in its travels from OCUK or even from the factory.

Doesn't seem like it could break like that easily ..

Hope you can get it sorted. I'm happy with my case now its all working!
