It's fitted!!!

ok I guess Im on about flow velocity then. :P

My point is the same though, theres no point in putting an exhaust which is "as big as possible" on an NA car the right size needs to be found.

When I read "the less back pressure the better" alarm bells started ringing as I could see people fitting 3" bore systems to their 1.3 Fiestas hoping to get a quicker car out of it.

Very true , bigger bore isnt always better , but my point stands , NO back pressure is ideal. or the lesser the better. :)

edit.... Ahhhhhhhhhhh, so that's what it meant Dan! I checked all the fluids this morning and the brake fluid is near MAX. Could it be anything to do with the leak from the rear hose?

 your rear brake hose is leaking!?

Just noticed a few drips along the bottom of those hose, not a constant stream. After what Cableguy was telling me, I'd know if I had a leaking hose. I'll do a few tests tonight just to check that the hose isn't leaking.

Mike, yeah, that was my first thought. Weird thing is, is all of the pads are fine on my car. My first thought was it was just a lose connection on the handbrake switch. I'll get some brake fluid tonight and top that sucker up!

When you go to large the flow velocity drops off, the gas stalls and causes BACKPRESSURE.

So its true the less backpressure the better, its not out fault if 1.3 fiesta owners dont realise that a huge volume system slows the exhuast gases down and causes the backpressure they think fitting a huge exhaust avoids.

The engine is an airpump, if you get the exhaust pressure lower than atmospheric then you have a supercharging effect.

^ aye thats basically what Im trying to say :D

Nice vids agw_01. Exhaust sounds fairly quiet - which is a good thing IMO, really loud ones get boring quickly.

Cheers D4VE. Yeah, it is very quiet, really suprised me when I first booted it.

Weird thing is, so many people turn to look at the car now, whereas before, with the exhaust of all great holyness and the raspyness of death nobody bothered.

I'm not suprised it gets so many looks... it's a really weird sound. Very deep but with no real volume.

It sounds a bit raspy in the videos due to the blowing at the cat, but westy (what a guy) went to Rover yesterday and ordered the gasket for me :)

So, it should be sounding sweet at the RR if you're there.

Really? I bet you thought "what the hell is he going on about".

as soon as it started I remembered that i had to guess what you were trying to say :p

out of interest, do you stutter when you say your own name?

I know it stops when you sing..

Ah yes, good old singing :D People at the RR are going to be wondering how messed up my head is when I start singing to them :D

Yeah, I do sometimes get stuck when I say my name. I know on Saturday it's going to be really bad, being around people I've never met before.

For some reason, I find it easier to say "Hi I'm AGW" than to tell people my name. Weird.

probably because you can say it quickly, you don't get the chance to stutter :D

sorry if i was annoying you at the MM by finishing your sentences..

Maybe, but I would have thought it'd be harder... "Ay Gee Double You"

And don't worry about it. Everyone does it... you shouldn't really do it, but when I start getting frustrated I'm thankful for the help :D

Couple of new pictures after a wash (first wash since fitting the wheels)...

Personally I think it looks pretty damn nice for an M reg Rover. I love how this car is coming along! Can't wait to get the rest of the bodywork sorted!

Cheers Kos :)

It looks high to me as I'm used to seeing it on the standard 15" wheels. Man, was it low when it had those fitted :D
