The one at Meadowhall? Only 5-10 mins walk away from me :)

I'll probably be getting my stuff from the shop, just need gather money for a Macbook and Ipod :o

Is battery deteriation still a problem?

Battery deteriation is the same on all Li-Ion battery based MP3 players (and any device to be honest that uses them).

Last I heard they needed replacing after a small 12 months.

I've had my Sony Vaio for over 2 years and battery life gets me 11 hours minimum.

I had my iPod for 2 years and it only lost about 20% of it's battery life. Most people forget that all MP3 players (or any device) with li-ion batteries do degrade, Apple just get the biggest stick as they are a market leader.

Got the same one too, picked it up on Saturday when I went to visit my girlfriend, to my suprise there was a "New Apple Products Inside" poster outside Currys (in Portsmouth). I went inside and they had all the new iPods, this was even before the Apple Store (Bullring, Birmingham) did.

I'm very happy with it, I can actually carry it around without a case and not damage it by putting it in my pocket. It's quite like the old mini but higher capacity and smaller. It did crash and reboot when I plugged it into my MacBook but I am almost 100% certain that it was iTunes 7 rather than the iPod. The touch wheel seems to feel a lot better than the old nano for some reason, don't know if it is but it seems a lot more responsive.

I was taken by suprise by that poster too. I ordered online the night before because I thought there would be no chance of seeing it on the high street for a few weeks.

It occured to me that this is pretty much the thinnest an audio player can get. The actual headphone socket is the same thickness as the nano body, so there's no way to go any lower.
