It's snowing...again!!

Here in Oxford :D

Looks like I will have to bravely fight my way through a snowdrift of almost half an inch high this morning, I might not make it.

What a load of ********, we used to have proper snow when I was a kid and no one panicked and they certainly didn't shut schools. This country needs to gt a grip on reality.

It's because we don't seem prepared for anything, like we don't have the resources to handle anything thrown at us. A bit of cold weather and we're screwed for food and water, transport links are broken down and old people start dying at a rapid rate. A bit of hot weather and half the nation can't run their taps, we're suffering with heatstroke and old people start dying at a rapid rate.

I was in Zurich a few years ago and they had a couple of inches of snow...public transport ground to a complete standstill!

Wana come to Canada with me? :D
Yes please, at least they get real snowfall over there not the wussy half an inch of slush we get over here.

/wishes I was back in Whistler :(

"Snow glorious snow, nothing quite like it"

There's a couple 2 or 3 inches here in North Hampshire :D Time to work from home today me thinks!! None of the roads on my estate have been salted and it's like an ice-rink out there

My place of work is based in the country side - no way i'm driving there, it was chaos last time.

Snow day for me I think *nods*.

do you think its a valid excuse, to say that my lift cant get to me in this weather? cause he cant and i dont want to sound silly but my only other option is my dad who is having a brain scan

Settling to about 2-3 inches here in Aylesbury.

Just deep enough for me to wreck my front left wheel/suspension at a roundabout at 4:30 this morning. Marvelous. :(

Oh well, beats delivering letters in this weather I suppose... C'est La Vie. :D

There is quite a lot of snow in Canada at the moment. It reached -30 odd with wind chill last week.

Snowing here in bromsgrove. :D. A good three inches of snow.

school's out, snow day!

this is so awesome :D

we havent seen real snow in this area for like three years i think, but it's supposed to snow throughout the day

Got about 20mm just north of Brum in Walsall, but it's just stopped. I probably ought to go to work, but my other half is ill and I can do quite a bit from home anyway. I'll leave it until later and see if the chaos is over, might go in mid-morning.
