That is the view out of my bedroom window currently in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, looks great and it is still snowing hard! :D

There is enough snow to cover your feet here in the South Midlands; about 4 inches.
However I made the journey into work (30 miles) and because I got up earlier I arrived 10 minutes before I normally do - how is that for dedication :)

A big roles eyes for to everyone who decided to stay at home in bed

I braved the weather today trying to get to uni...I got up the A2 but turned back at Bexleyheath....could see traffic slowing and didn't relish the idea of sitting for hours on Blackheath, which I've heard is gridlocked.

At least I can say I tried :D

yeah blizzard here in chesterfield.

Now let me tell you a story. The older members on here will remember....

I am 35 now and when i was a kid, all the shops sold sledges, at xmas and jan/feb etc we all played in the snow. We sledged, had great fun.

Now in the last 10 years there never seems to be any around the UK. Why..its such a shame, I love it. think it makes even run down areas look nice for once. ;)

My dog is pure white and brown (English Springer Spaniel) he looks a dirty white in all this bright white snow though. Mind you he is stupid, trying to catch snow flakes and snow balls.

Hopefully this snow is here to last a good month or so.

I miss the old days, called me a old git, I dont care. I love it. Miss it. Perhaps its all to do with Global Warming then ?

PS: everyone moans when we get a little bit of snow like this, For gods sake this is nothing. Years ago we had real snow....Deep snow...

Now a light dusting on the roads and all the people including local councils panic.......
