I wonder how many of the people 'unable' to get into work would suddenly be able to if they were told they would either have to make the time up at the weekend or book the day as holiday.

Hi, snowing here in S Wales just above Caerphilly. Went out in the Mondeo this morning and the traction control was excellent and made it very easy to get up an slush snow hill which is quite steep. Pic below:

Looks very similar to the view from the roof of my building. Difficult to tell where it was taken from without seeing further down

Not really, i got a lift halfway to the station (only a 15 minute walk anyway) and we were in the range rover, so providing dad didn't floor it we were fine

Saw a rather expensive Merc Sliding around uncontrollably though

When I got to Shenfield station I went upto the platform and a straight through to liverpool street had just arrived

Theres been about 1mm of snow here in Stoke On Trent even though all the schools have closed and there isn't one bit of snow on the roads.

1mm, quick get down the shops and buy up all the canned goods, heating oil and batteries before you are stranded for weeks.
