It's snowing

Might be a foot on local hills, but no where near in the towns and cities lol

Yeah. The snow's about a foot deep around where I live, but that's only because it's a fairly rural/residential area on the outskirts of the town (Godalming) and up a few hills. The snow can't have been more than an inch or two deep after walking for about 15 minutes as I headed towards town yesterday from leaving the house. Snow was non-existent in the highstreet and along the main roads; there was only that horrible mixture of road salt and slush.

Moar Snow!

I've gotta go to London tomorrow :(

we got loads here, it's getting ridiculous now, one of the roads where we are that's adjacent to a load of fields is about a foot n alf deep due to the snow drifting across, it's got cars abandoned all the way up it and the farmers are tryna clear it with JCBs and tractors. The rest of the roads have like 2 inches of slush all over them, caused me to slide into a curb :( my poor wheels. it's like 7/8 inches in the garden and most of that came today as we'd cleared the garden of most of the snow yesterday by making giant snowballs.

Oh the snow's started again :( i've had enough of it now.

Me and my dad had to work in Godalming on Wednesday. It was an interesting journey from Southend. We ended up going through some back routes from where the A3 was shut, the hardest part of the journey was going up a couple of hills that had compacted snow on them. The funniest thing was we had traveled 90 odd miles and we got stuck right outside the house we were working on which had roughly 6-8 inches of snow (Moushill lane)

More snow over the last couple of days here and more last night combined with the ice making travelling fun. Just glad I don't have to go out anywhere until next week although was nice to have the white Christmas for my nephew. :)

Went canoeing in the snow today :)

Funnily enough we had the river to ourselves, only mad dogs and Englishmen, the Czechs thought we were a bit nuts ;)

We had to smash through ice with paddles to get to the bank and have a brew!

The whole river was frozen past the bridge

Saw a Heron (100% crops and hence really bad quality due to only bringing a 24-70mm with me)

Was a really good little paddle :) We saw one guy with speedos on get in the river for a swim, rather him than me! There were also quite a few people out XC skiing on the path by the river.
