Yeah the lights have flickered a couple of times here as well. Seems to be a howling gale outside, but it's still very wet.

Back on topic it has been raining pretty much non stop for over 24 hours here in Fife, no snow yet but I'm sure its on its way

And it's been the mildest and driest winter on record in Canada and parts of the Arctic. So warm, in fact, that it nearly scuppered the Winter Olympics. Climate scientists have been saying that extreme weather events may become more common and that certainly holds for this winter.

Lights are flickering in Glasgow, bit worried as I'm writing an essay and terrified about losing it!
Snow has stopped, was quite heavy at points last night but seems to just be sleet today.
