It's snowing

When I was at school in Holland, I used to deliver pizzas in the evenings. One winter we hit -14 with tons of snow, it was an absolute nightmare on those little mopeds.

€100 a night in tips though, put on that little extra shiver when at the door to emphasize how cold it was, kerching!

no you dont, it gets old real quick.. 2 weeks without electricity in cold temperatures, just after you've spend $200 on food. not to mention it taking 4 hours to get home from work, which is normally a 30 min drive.

Everyone is expected to turn up for work tomorrow, all 3 shifts even though theres a state of emergency! got to love american companies expecting people to risk life and limb just to come to work.

anyways i'll post pics tomorrow, if we have power :)

Havent news agencies, state mayors cancelled public transport, closed schools and generally told Ppl to stay home and work from home if possible?

Yes but that doesnt matter to the bosses at the company i work at. Unless there is a travel ban the company will be open as usual. We can use pto or a vacation day tomorrow. When i worked at lindt we would get paid if the shift was cancelled.

I doubt you'll find a flight that's not been cancelled lol..

Wish we would have something like that in England. Most I've ever seen in my life living down here in the south is about 5 inches

Wouldn't have flown directly into it anyhow.

You've obviously never worked for an American company heh.

Yeah they seem to be panicking a fair bit! Hotels in NYC are getting in stocks of medical supplies for their guests etc.

What makes me laugh "Stocks of water are running low in some New York shops" wait what? If you're surrounded by snow, surely water would be the least of your worries? :p

Where I live in North Sheffield has forecast for heavy snow wednesday night/thursday.

However after talking to my friend who lives in Boston, MA....I don't think it will be bad here, as they have 3feet of snow and you can't travel in your car unless you have a special permit
