It's snowing

I'm currently in Berlin, the past two days all it has done is snow. Doesn't seem to bother the Germans though.

Small Snow showers every couple of hours here in Blyth , but its melting straight away :(, because of the ground being wet.

If it snows enough it doesn't matter if the ground is wet, it gets soaked up into a slush and then fresh snow can fall on top.

Just watched last nights weather from BBC One after the ten o'clock news. I've seen that quirky presenter plenty of times before, but I think he lost it right at the end!

Snowed about 1 hour ago in Preston, 10 minute dusting, nothing fascinating.

The Previous ones today were very light that's why they melted i think.

But We're meant to be getting heavy ones tonight.

You work in a castle?

Urgh, it's not started here properly yet, but I hope it holds off/doesn't stick for at least tomorrow morning/early afternoon. Don't fancy a snowy ride between Dorset and London on the bike lol.

Blizzard conditions here in North Suffolk now... not particularly thick snow but a good and very cold wind blowing it all about.

Warning for London & South East England:

Heavy Snow 1800 Thu 17 thru 0800 Fri 18

Heavy snow showers at first this evening becoming heavier and more prolonged overnight will give accumulations of 5-10cm and locally as much as 15-20cm. Some drifting snow is likely in the strong north to northeasterly wind.

The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the 'Highways Agency' for further advice on traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads.

Well it's not blizzard conditions then.;) If it were blizzard conditions you wouldn't be able to see more than 20-30 ft max!:p It's VERY rare we actually get blizzard conditions in the UK, mostly likely to be in the mountains.

What looks good though is the heavy(ish) snow tonight and then cold temps for the next few days, hopefully that means it stays for days!:D
