It's snowing

Snow and ice has been very slowly melting for the last couple of days now. The sound of dripping from icicles is pretty much all I can hear when I look out of the windows. Our front garden is also beginning to emerge from underneath the snow.

Looks like the snow's going to give up here now. For the last few nights we've been promised 'another 6 inches', but the most we've had is just a couple more inches. I was hoping to have a reason not to go to college tomorrow and stay home catchnig up on work instead.

Still a good 6" + on the grass though, with roads either icy or very slushy. Got to go and dig out the car now...

The big thaw here now, been melting since last night, all i heard was rumble, rumble, rumble, CRASH while i was in bed, as all the snow was coming off the roof all night, but with it being that cold, it was just huge blocks of ice, made a helluva crash when it was hitting the deck :p

Forecast seems to be all over the place at the moment.

Met Office has just now issued a new flash warning advising of heavy snow across Yorkshire and Humber tonight.

Probably the fourth or fifth time they've tweaked their advisories in 24 hours. Who knows what is going to happen!

It was warm today though, 2 inches snow melted last night, a further 3" today. We have dropped from 14.5 inches to just under 10".

Sleety rain so far this evening.

GF in StP is experiencing so much snow that it completely covers all the cars......so you lose your car.

Will get some pics later. And its been like that for weeks and weeks.

Starting to melt now in manchester.... they said it was going to snow this afternoon but nothing came.

There is still plenty on the ground but lots of dripping now from the roof and it feels a lot warmer.

It's snowing in Stoke, weather forecast reckons it will snow overnight.......although it's really fluffy light snow and not the nice wet thick stuff
