It's snowing

Had a very light sprinkling here in swindon, mostly washed away by a short shower.

Wonder what it's like by my Nan's in Thurso
 
Started snowing around 12:45am, not much 1/2 inch.

Started light snowing a couple of hours ago, and thats it.

Read somewere that this is the start of a 2 week spell of bad weather.
 
Wow loads of snow up north then, thats snow joke!

None here as per usual, real cold though, apparently the north sea is beginning to freeze by the coast? day after tomorrow? :confused:

I'm living in Caerleon and the snows pretty much disappeared now. Been forecast blizzards for Tuesday though.

Ah, more snow!
I pretty much drove to work sideways this morning. Always fun when theres bugger all on the roads. Quite clearly the council aren't even bothering their arses gritting anything at all.
 
We took a good hammering last night. Around 10" more fell overnight but stopped around 8am. We all went out and cleared the cul-de-sac this morning. Went to town (36 mile round trip) as it was not snowing. It started lightly just before we left Elgin to come home. Half way home we really got into it. Heavy snow, lorries stuck on hill's and morons in vans and 4x4's tailgating. By the time we got to the village visbility was down to around 50 yards and it was hard to tell where the edge of the road was. Still no ploughs/gritters to be seen!! Bloody council is even more useless than last year. Anyway, we were extremely lucky to get up our hill and home. In the time that we had been to town and back we had another 10" or so of snow and the road we cleared this morning was covered again. Here are some piccies:-

It's now snowing very heavily again and no let up in sight.
 
This thread should be deleted. It's depressing.... :(

We have no snow and are not forecast for any until at least wednesday night (and I'm guessing that will vanish too...):(
