Apparently Stagecoach have pulled every bus in the North East off the road at 8pm this evening; Newcastle, Sunderland, South Shields, Hartlepool, Teeside, the whole lot, gone, due to the weather.

yea thats a joke its not even that bad on most roads... its a bus aswell with big wheels surely they are fairly good in the snow much like a fire engine?

my stepson who works in "idols" was saying how last night the taxis were refusing to go anywhere near the city centre so one of the bouncers had to give everyone a lift home...

Big wheels are not necessarily that good to be honest and bear little advantage over normal sized tires, I think.

cant blame them considering how bad the roads are here (teesside)

ive never even seen snow/ice on the main road into town from where i live but earlier tonight it was ridiculous , lorrys wheelspinning at the lights and any amounts of cars getting stuck. bet theres bee a few crashes too

The gf and I were sitting in bed when we saw the lightning flash shoot across the view from the windows. First time for all of us.

Still snowing here. Went out for a walk at 9pm. Got back 15 minutes later, footprints gone! I think this is worse than the January snow we had.
