It's snowing

You sure it was ********** and not ashes from the Great Fire of Bayton Road last night :p

 I wasn't even aware there was a fire in Bayton Road until you just mentioned it. How I missed that I've no idea because I'm only about 200 metres away from the place.

Glad to see that you're enjoying the place. :p How long are you out there for?

Parts of that may or may not have been fabricated.

This time? Forever. Hopefully it'll be a little less next time. Fully cereal - only 4 months, but having been here before it seems like forever :o

Was very cold here last night here in the Midlands,Not so cold tonight though but raining...again.

Ive got a feeling we wont see much snow again this year,Just rain as usual.

Last time I looked there were 3 tentative outlooks for the next 6 months regarding snow:

1) Chance of moderate snowfall at the end of November (low confidence) then milder and wetter through winter (moderate confidence).

2) Gradual decrease in temperatures through the rest of the year with a steeper drop through Jan to a harsher, colder than average, but probably snowless period late Jan through to March (moderate confidence).

3) Gradual decrease in temperatures through the rest of the year with a short lived but intense blip end of Jan and early Feb with slightly below average temperatures and slightly above average to significant above average snowfall (moderate confidence).

General indicators such as Scandinavian snow cover showing lower than normal or complete lack of the conditions that historically are strong indicators of winter snow in the UK - opinions are split if its a delayed onset (with a more intense but shorter lived pattern when it does happen) or if its an indicator of a likely absence of snow.

I was night shift last week, nice thick layer of frost on cars and the Biffa bins.

away in the caravan over the week end in Auchtermuchty fife, had frozen water barrels, ust a light skim over the top. car was reading 3.5c as i returned to the site at 7pm.

this year it can slow all it likes as i work in a factory, and no longer digging cables for Fujitsu/ Virgin Media

Global warming has hit and the jet stream has broken as well as the sun heating up, no more snow for us we're all doomed.
