Just on the western edge of the Peak district here.

Woke up to a fair bit of snow.
Having had a 'snow day' off work last week, was feeling a bit guilty so decided to try heading off to work in the car. Got about 40 foot, lost all traction so 'parked' it against the kerb and walked back.

Since then, had about 6 inches of snow before it stopped but more supposed to be coming...

It's just starting to get black overhead, was sunny 15 minutes ago. Was like a blizzard when I left home this morning but by all accounts sun cleared it right up in the village by just after lunch.

Update, it just dropping, like a fog creeping towards where I am.

Got hail here like I've never seen before - more like a sandstorm of fine hail coming in almost horizontally.

It just went from 5 foot visibility with snow to lovely sunshine and not a flake in the sky in the space of about 20 seconds.
