It's the return of the 3310!

I think we need some bench marks between the original and the 'reboot'

1. Repeatedly throw it against a wall.

2. Battery should last over a week.

3. See point 1.

It looks absolutely nothing like the original... I thought this was going to be a cool retro thing, but its just an overpriced cheap looking thing...

Not sure what the relevance of being able to buy the original for £10 - £20 is, they can't do anything. :p

people will buy it, within a few months they'l be on Ebay for a small fraction of the cost,
they argue that it has a long battery life between charges, well turn off wifi and mobile data when your not using them and you'l get long life from your smart phone,

i bought a new genuine battery for my 6 year old Samsung Galaxy s3 on the 5th of Feb,
charged it to 100% that day, 12 days later when it was on 30% charge.... and being switched on 24/7 the whole time
i recharged it to 100%, that was the 17th of Feb, its now the 26th of Feb and i have still have a 47% charge

Exactly. Its just any random cheap nokia. The funny thing is this one looks absolutely horrendous the design is shockingly bad. Theres plenty of cheap/disposable nokias out there why anyone would pick the ugliest one is beyond me.

Lol as if they touted that as a homage to the 3310... ugly as sin.

Well so is the original 3310 compared to what we're used to today to be fair.

This new 3310 is dirt cheap and released as a pure nostalgia product with the brand's re-invention. The Nokia 3, 5 and 6 series hit their target markets too and going by Android Central's hands on, are superbly build phone that look and feel very good.

The true flagship from Nokia will likely come later this year when the Snapdragon 835 is no longer under Samsung's initial monopoly. Those are the devices those of us browsing this forum will be interested in I can guarantee it.

I imagine the reason we haven't seen a flagship at MWC is because new-Nokia are fully customer focused, they know what's at stake and don't want to release a flagship with yesteryear's SoCs.

I'll be looking at the new 3310 for various areas of work to issue out to users who don't need or want a smartphone, but something cheap but still capable of getting emails and things.

Young people now have the chance to use a phone similar to what their parents used

The battery life on it seems good tho so maybe good for using as a telephone ;)

I think it all depends on the quality. Like many people I loved my Nokias back in the day, but I was unfortunate to have to use a budget Nokia about 6 years ago and it was just unbelievably bad. If its anything like the original then great for somebody who wants a basic phone, but if its like other Nokia budget phones then a complete waste of time.
