It's the season to enjoy some dark beers, right?

On a side note, I used to get all my nice beers (mainly Belgian and German) from Beerwulf, but they'll be stopping selling individual bottles soon, and will be focusing on kegs (thanks Heineken).
Do you know of any good alternative?

Nice thread!

I'm pretty well stocked up on dark beers at the moment, but I have a 'few' more on the way. Looking forward to Amundsen's Virtual Series, as well as some others from Norway's other king of dark beers - Lervig.

Enjoyed BABS and BABS II, so hoping for the same with III.

I too had a chocolate orange stout recently, Cloudwater's MCI #4. Literally smelled of Terry's! Tasted bloody lovely too, a 400ml can was a bit too much for just me though :D

Wild Beer do some incredible beers. Their Wildebeest imperial stout is amazing.

Cloudwater is very decent too, just round the corner from me. Loads of great stuff in their bar.

I always thought you were down South for some reason.

I've never made it to their bar yet, not working in Manchester anymore has killed me as i only get out for a few nights a year, and listening to my mates go out around there regularly makes me jealous!

there were on a clear-out package from Brew Dog direct i'm afraid - all short life cans but they got cleared out pretty quickly. Sounds worrying about them exploding though, never had that happen!
Yeah I never had either until then!

I got some Layer Cake (marshmallow and chocolate stout) from them to try instead and as well as being more expensive, it’s just not very nice and too sweet :(

Oh, I didn't know there was more than one Cloudwater - yes, the one I'm talking about is in Bermondsey, SE London, part of the so-called 'beer mile'.

I had a trip up to Manchester all planned out before things went to pot.

Cloudwater
Track (one of my faves this year)
Wander Beyond (again they do some incredible strong stouts)
Pomona Island

Soon.....hopefully!

i love stout.
my fav at the moment is roaster coaster vietnamese imperial coffee stout. 9%. delicious. in tesco. they also have northern monk brews, there stouts are great too.

sam smiths organic chocolate stout is another favourite brew.

Dartmoor Brewery start selling Dragons Breath again... one fine thing about winter! And Old Perculiar goes down nicely this time of year too

Currently 1C here in Flatland, and a great time for this dark beers case to arrive from my brother as a belated Xmas present.

It was damn cold when it came off the delivery van, it didn't need to be refrigerated! :D The porter is astonishingly good for 4.8%.
