It's too hot :(

The house was around 23C this morning when I woke up. Managed to get it down to 21C before leaving for work.

The fresh breeze while walking the dog was nice this morning.

The rotten BBC have just added 2c to what they were predicting yesterday. Gits. :p

Still, it does feel a bit cooler with a bit of cloud about. I'll take it. :)

Positively chilly today compared to the past few days. Only getting up to 26 today apparently.

So much for it cooling down a bit in Southampton today, local stations all ~30C already! Lounge already 29C. At least there's a very light breeze.

Still holding 23.5c in the lounge. Was closer to 27 this time yesterday. Windows and door still open, and a lovely breeze blowing through.

Just saw on the tv news that London is baking through a 35°C heatwave. That's rather hot for the UK in May.

Should be 26° here today, and partly cloudy. Hopefully that’ll mean I won’t have the sun blasting in through the bedroom windows until the last, as they’re south facing.

Turned my portable A/C off last night just after midnight when the temperature outside was around 18° and it was 23° in the room as the compressor was so damned loud I couldn’t sleep, even with earplugs in. Room went back upto 25° within an hour. Maddening.

Thinking about taking the plunge for either split air con for the upstairs, as it seems these extremes of temperature are only going to become more common.

I have accepted the good times are over.. I'm grateful we had a beautiful bank holiday weekend. As much as I'd love another week of this... I'm still grateful it didn't fall midweek!

Wonder if we're in for another 40c heatwave in a month or two tbh...

No, just no.

Anyone who wants a 40oc heatwave needs to be tied up and gagged

there is no need for this

22-25oC is enough,

Anything more i may aswel try and sleep in a furnace, and the local wildlife are smashing the crap out of my roof trying to get in to the loft and lay eggs (because its super hot)

The ridiculous situation of being too cold having picked an office desk apparently right under the AC vents. I may have to don the emergency jumper. It's like a lost property jumper though at this point.

Its only 1.3C cooler outside my front door than yesterday although room temp is a similar drop off at 26.1C. I think the night felt slightly cooler but still bad enough that towel I lied on stunk of sweat when I woke up.

Friday here is predicted 20C peak, expecting it to get revised upwards when it gets closer. Wonder if they just using seasonal averages past 48 hours.

Have to feel sorry for those that can't sleep in this heat.

Luckily for me, I sleep better than when it's cold.

Any of you guys still using an electric blanket ?

I still been turning on the electric fan heater everyday in the bathroom,:o:cry:
Not sure if it just mainly due to being so used to using it everytime i go into the bathroom

It hasn't been hot long enough to cause problems with sleep yet. In our old house it used to sit at around 28 degrees at night in the bedroom sometimes and there was no airflow so it was oppressive. New house hasn't had the same sustained heat yet but its cavity walled rather than solid brick so fingers crossed it will resist the heat a little better.

I couldn't get to sleep due to the heat till about 5am this morning :(
Doesn't help that my back got all sunburned while working on Sunday so i think this makes me feel even hotter.
