It's too hot :(

Ridiculously hot where I am and I’m just sat doing nothing, nads swimming. Needs a proper thunder storm to lift it.

Well into the 30s here but I'm not really feeling the heat so much - it is the air you breath is warm and almost stale that is horrid almost feel like you are suffocating.

Now I understand why they're always angry in the Middle-East.

That's an ignorant comment in more ways than one.

It's a dryer heat there, anyway. Every though it can be 25C in the evenings it's much more comfortable. It's the humidity over here that contributes to the problem.

So it's 33 degrees in Surrey and hailing. Actual hail, how is that possible

Boring answer hail can form very high up where temperatures can be well into the 10s of negative C - I suspect though haven't looked it up that temperature differences between upper and lower levels are a factor in hail.

I have just had solar control film fitting to all the back windows of my 4 bed house (£280 all in) and my god I can stand in front of the window and not feel the heat! Highly recommend it to help keep your rooms cool. Another bonus is I can also have my blinds fully open and no longer have a glare on my monitor!

Who did you use?

I'm in the South East which seems to constantly get these ridiculously hot weather days/weeks, it's just a constant suntrap here, that said, I work in an office with just my colleague and we have a split ac unit, set to 18 (doesn't go lower for some reason..) on all day so I only notice it when I go home, where I have a portable unit in the conservatory and a portable unit in the bedroom!
Definitely going to get a split ac system at home for next year, even if its just one for the lounge!
