It's too hot :(

True humidity does make things feel hotter. The only issue with your assesment is that the UK is not very humid. It's middle of the range for heat/ humidity. It's a temperate climate.

I was about to ask about the humidity; I'd love to be somewhere where the average humidity isn't 70% or higher every day of the year; and this year so far is hot it's like couple weeks from winter and still 25c lmao

Temperate it may be but it is humid esp in summer compared with the hot dry countries we tend to go on holiday to

UK humidity in July ranges from 60% to 90%. Compare that with 13% in Dubai.

Warm air, hot sun ,had 2 bodyboard sessions this weekend in Polzeath still in my winter wetsuit ,proper wimp ,just filling ponds up ,checking on frogs

Where abouts are you? I've just had a look at the time line on the met office for tonight in the south and we may get some rain at about midnight but nothing exciting like lightning

"Thunderstorms likely from 2145."

Certainly very warm at 1700ish after rain all day, that dried up the tarmac on exposed roads pretty quickly.

Yup just watching the storm arrive now in Southampton, some nig looking forks in the distance approaching from the south. Let's hope its a good one, sitting out on the decking here waiting. It's not very frequent but looking promising.

JUst rolling through Blandford at the moment, I'm familiar with the rumble of thunder but one genuinely sounded like an explosion!
Love the thunder! Rain is just starting to hit now too.

Coming in again here, looks like could be a night of storms on and off. Uk lightning map is showing scattered storms all across the south and out to sea.

I've just been heading west to east a few miles north of Blandford - the lighting is insane never seen anything like it - the sky in-front of me and to my right was just constant huge streaks of lightning with multiple ground strikes as well.

Just started picking up again. Looks like another cell is just starting to roll through off the coast.
