It's too hot :(

Some good thunderstorms near me.
We were forecast thunderstorms from lunch today with weather warnings in Hampshire, but the earlier storms headed towards the "big smoke" ~10+ miles north of Southampton.

Been a lovely afternoon completely contradicting the forecast (hate it when this happens), only in last few minutes getting some very feint rumbles, bigger looking storm expected to hit here around 1800.

Thunder and lightning on and off for most of the afternoon in Winchester.

Looks like a few nicer days coming up amongst the drabber ones. I've got some outdoor jobs lined up for Thursday if the forecast holds up - looks like the perfect day for getting out and doing things. Might even try and get around to some today.

Yeah I used the Stihl on the hedges when I got back yesterday and some planting, also took a few cuttings to try and grow free stuff, very heavy dew this morning but looks stunning

This weather is all over the place. On Wednesday we had a massive downpour at teatime and had 18.7mm of rain in less than a hour which led to flash flooding in the village. Several properties were flooded and it left a hell of a mess which the council are still clearing up today. While the downpour was ongoing the temperature also dropped 6.2 degrees C. Today there isn't a breath of wind and it's 18.7 degrees C in the shade. In the sun it's boiling and the air is full of little black and white flies (not midges). I would love to do some work on the lawn but the ground is still like a quagmire from Wednesday so can't. :(

Quiet glad we got the loft sorted out towards the end of last year, it was quite nice to pop open the hatch and open the veluxes yesterday as it created a lovely breeze! Now I just have to remember where I put the window seal kit for the AC unit.

It's very up and down in terms of weather for me at the moment, one day a lot of sunshine and the next cloudy and/or rain.

yeah. just experienced scummy southends first proper day of the year when it was actually quite nice and sunny. first day of the year when you could actually plan a proper barbeque. No idea what the temp was, but it was nice and warm. only complaint it brough out the mosquitos , little sods

and then tommorrow its going to rain
