It's too hot :(

It's never hot in the UK though. Warm for a day or two sure but it's never unbearably hot for a long time. Anyway as I said I'd be happy to compromise warm weather for cool mid 20s for several months.

Used to be longer sunny spells some summers, even if not reaching some recent peaks - recent years have been a bit weird with a brief intense heat surrounded by mediocre weather.

just about comfort for me. I enjoy being warm and dislike the feeling of being cold. This country does fall apart when it gets mild. Anything above 20c and people lose their minds!
Its a thing in the UK, people who dislike cold weather are accepted as normal, people who dislike hot weather are seen as weird and mocked.

Really what benefit does 35c bring over 25c, nothing except sweating more and watering the allotment more

It rather depends where you live. On the south coast it definitely gets hot in the summer, and as you can see from other replies there are people who find it hot "even at mid 20's". It's also not just about the temperature as the humidity has a large effect on how people feel about the heat, and it's also about how each individual's body regulates the heat. We are not all the same and a blanket statement of "it's only 25c - that's not hot" is just wrong. While you may like to feel warm, there are plenty of people who would rather feel cool.

it heats the residences pool up ? and, being balmy when you go to bed and wake up - once you've had the lizard experience you don't want to go back.

last few days are stressing the 4.5 tog duvet, though, too many togs, hasn't lost enough since when new.

As I said gimme 25c for 4+ months and I'll shut up! :D then I can go to lizard countries for my fix ;)

Of course it's entirely subjective and as someone not native to the UK I still struggle with being comfortable in the cold. I personally function better when it's mild and even better when it's warm. Mid 20s is my happy place and where I come to life. I feel less lethargic, more energetic and excitable. I must have been a reptile in my previous existence! :D

But yeah 25c is lovely. I hate being indoors and being able to sit outdoors for as much as possible is wonderful. I'm used to being outdoors for 9 months of the year. I just miss it.

It is amusing hearing different peoples experiences especially if they grew up elsewhere. Its also amusing because it really doesn't get cold here anymore the days of weeks of sub zero temperatures are long gone even if I can remember them vividly and somewhat fondly (yes I'm strange). I'm also outdoors all year round I just put on a coat during the winter lol.

It gets cold for me but again as you say we all have different experiences. What's ironic is I used to play rugby in the winter and didn't mind it too much but there's a bit of bravado there too.

Been quite cool today but dry, good walking weather
