Up here in Newcastle we have Geordies melting in the streets, we're acclimatised to survive in near-zero temperatures in just t-shirt and shorts. Anything over 15c is a fire hazard!

You forgot to mention the ginormous beer bellies with their natural insulation properties!

Weird, local Weather Unground app reckons it's 26C (feels like 25C), but our lounge feels much fresher today, despite only being ~0.5C cooler than yesterday's peak at 23.9C.

Leaving the lounge windows open all night must have helped, not that I was up before 1100 to see how cool the lounge dropped to!

Only now starting to get borderline about stick fan on low, yesterday it was on 11ish.

only supposed to be 12 degrees now, but it still feels very summery and warm here. Just laying on the duvet with the fan on, bloody lovely
