It's too hot :(

Get small netting to prevent insects coming through at night.

Stick a big fan facing outwards on one side of your house, and open the window on the other side of the house.
Creating negative air pressure and the air will flow through.

How is your son?
Thank you for asking, he is doing very well. The only reason he is in now is tool finish thr I.V. course, should be out early next week :).

Averaging a stay every six months, which is a massive improvement over how it used to be. Sometimes we can get out quicker and finish the I.Vs at home but we couldn't do it this time due to the I.V needing to given via a bag and pump.

Feels a bit cooler out there this morning but I'll update after the dog walk:)
Nice and cool until the sun poked through the clouds now I'm sweating not a lot but enough to start to feel uncomfortable. 20.5 °C in the shade in the back garden.

I considered buying one the other year when it was stupid hot but then I remembered this is the UK and it's not worth it for 2 weeks a year

Honestly for £150 it's well worth it. I take it into work as well which makes summer much more bearable.

I'd love for someone to go through this thread and add up the days that people are complaining. I suspect it would be more than 14, especially as some can't take anything over 20 degrees...

I definitely use mine more than 14 days and if it's the difference of a good nights sleep for 20 or 30 days in a year, it's worth it.

Lovely today warm with refreshing breeze, jumping on the boat soon for a coffee on the other side and there's also a bit of beach with my name on it (buff handsome vegan cove) sorry I am slightly weird

27°C here today, but thunderstorms forecast later.

Still mid teens overnight, so haven’t installed the trusty portable A/C yet.

I’m surprised that nobody in the U.K. fits awnings or shutters to the south facing windows of new builds. Keeping the heat out of the house in the first place is way more effective and environmentally responsible than having to run even the most efficient A/C system.

Certainly wouldn't say it was too hot out tonight on the dog walk. Very fresh to be honest, especially when the dog goes into extra smell mode and criss crosses the same small area of grass over and over again.

yes that was a brisk cool wind later in the day , so many craft out playing in the Camel Estuary , glad i had a shirt in my backpack (Rohan ,amazing walking shirt }
Caught a lot of sun today but cloudy back home ,. parked up at Bedrurthen steps and walked to Watergate bay and back , had a chill in Mawgan Porth , ideal walking temps low 20s cool wind

Is that it?

Summer been and gone?

Cold today and tonight, will be a good test of my new thin, summer, pure wool duvet!
