It's too hot :(

Any recommendations for a portable AC unit, low noise and most important light-ish weight (I have a lot of steps and stairs)
They are all loud and heavy, my Meaco one is struggling in these temps.

Go for anything over 10k btu and a decent tower fan to move the cold air around once expelled by the air con unit.

Seen the pics of Bournemouth... No way. No way would I even bother going to something like that.

Oxwich was really busy. But I kayaked 4k to a quieter beach and stayed there. Kayak really allows me to escape the horde!
Bournemouth is god awful. You won't catch me going down there. There's so many lovely beaches in the country, yet so many people are obsessed with Bournemouth.

I love a quiet beach!

This was looking towards Abergavenny IIRC:

Much nicer than my photo shows - and hardly anyone around compared to the well known named places. I found out how much difference there is between gym fitness and actually getting out there and doing stuff as well - as mentioned before I used to eat this stuff for breakfast in my 20s and 30s - in my 40s and post COVID it was a struggle! despite being pretty active in a workout sense.

Should try going to llangattock.
Its one of my favourites around that way.

I guess as I get out hiking (or something) every weekend year round I'm not too bad. Despite my sketchy knees. They limit me to about 10-20km before giving me Hassle.

Can only assume it's London people with limited Options? I'd stay home if that was my only choice.

I'm in Northamptonshire, nowhere near the sea and after watching that "Dirty Business " programme I don't think I would honestly want to go in the sea.

Just have to get the west coast. The east coast sucks ass.
The further west you go, the more the population falls and better the water gets.

Went in yesterday myself. Was fine. Fact is they've been dumping sewage in seas since forever here, I guess at least now you can see on a website when they've done it.

People also forget all the waste from the life in the sea but due to the sheer volume of water it's probably well diluted:)

Went out shopping this morning on my bike, t-shirt, shorts and no beanie hat, first time this year.

Glorious!

Don't think the Mobile Air Con is going to cut it.
The room heats up as soon as its off and have learned because of how they are designed to work its pulling in warm air from around my bedroom door ( can literally put my hand and feel the humid air pulling in from the outside), hence, the split system is needed to keep the compressor separate? and only be blowing in cool air, as far as I understand. So might return and put it towards installing a proper split system.

I'm so glad I moved my business last year to a new office/workshop. The old place would have been a killer in this heat.

Lots of people taking their dogs for a walk first thing this morning. Don't usually see many people first thing in the morning.

I have noticed this also. Most likely due to the lack of sleep or wanting to get the outdoor stuff done before it gets too unbearable
