It's up, just search for "12 days". It's called iTunes 12Days of Christmas. And you need to be running iOS 4.3 onwards for it.

So I'm guessing that they issue a new app for each year as I've still got last years version installed and upon doing a search the new version didn't have the usual installed mark next to it.

you wont need the app to download the free stuff :-)
