One of the points in that link says iTunes will still be available, I thought it was being removed completely apart from on PC but this says otherwise.

• The iTunes Store will still be available to buy music on Mac, iOS, PC, and Apple TV.

So the separate apps will be just for streaming and if you want to purchase something to keep the iTunes store will be where we go.

Look at the picture under the Buy Music header, the iTunes Store is just a side bar option, not an app.
