Im sticking with console gaming from now on, im sick of pc gaming. Me think i shall chuck me pc games on the bay :)

Anyone else been converted?

Not played a PC game since December 1st 2005, was excited about Fear and Quake 4 only to find them more generic shooters with nothing new (just like they have ALL been for YEARS) and realised it's a stale gaming market.

yer, bored of endless patches, confing, gfx/fps balancing - when at the end of the day i just wanna game tbh.

I've been converted, even though I was already sick of pc gaming for a long time now. No major games, insane waits for said games and poor multiplayer and thats just the start of it.

I've still got a lot of games on this rig, but I've not played any since I bought the 360. For some reason I can't find the balls to uninstall them though.

The moment I saw what MS had planned for Live, I knew that my days as a pc gamer were numbered and Live was a much better bet.

Same here, not played anything on the PC since about 18:00 on 1st December.

I bet you dont miss it either :)

Console gaming is much more social, id rather play fight night with a mate than an fps online.

Strange that someone has just posted this....

I only just phoned my best mate a few hours ago and said i was thinking of selling off my highend PC stuff and just building a cheap PC for internet browsing etc..
And use the money from selling the PC stuff to buy a new HD Big screen LCD or Plasma...

And mainly use the xbox360 for gaming.

Or thats what am going try to do...
But i know i never be able to give up the PC completely..

Definitely converted :) Since getting my Xbox 360 I've not spent more than 5 hours total playing games on my PC.

Somethings different with PC gaming, outside of the patches/settings/antipiracy/putyourpersonalpcflawhere, I just got bored within a few minutes playing on the PC. Maybe its the sitting position, or the control method? Just felt like I was interacting with images on the screen rather than playing in a different world.

Never, ever thought I'd see the day. I hated consoles with a passion.

I've not turned my PC on for months and months....

I use an Apple powerbook for web/msn/work etc.

I use my 360 for gaming.

I can't see it changing tbh.

If my 360's didn't keep breaking down i'd be converted but for the 2nd time my 360 has knackered so i need to feed any gaming habits on my PC atm :(

When i do have a 360 in working order......I never touch the PC game wise :D

I'm having a balance of both. I've got a good spec PC so I'm not worried as to which platform I chose my games on. Also my X360 has just died on me (great timing with easter :() So i'm PC only until I get my return. :p

Not really gamed on my PC for a good few years now, played the odd one like Fear, HL2, but nothing since, all my machine is used for now is the net, my x1800 XT, 3500+, and 2gb Ram etc... are just going to waste.

Ive played on my 360 more, and ive only had it couple of months, PC gaming is just getting to expensive now, its £500 for a graphics card, and now they want you to add another £220+ to it for a PhysX card, and thats just a 128mb one, theres 256mb ones coming yet so god knows how much they will be, and thats just single card config. SLi your talking over £1200, and thats just for 2x graphics cards, and a PhysX card, never mind CPU, Mobo and all the other gubbins to go with it that you have to keep upgrading, they can get stuffed. :D

Look of the prices of the Quad SLi systems, jesus you could get a decent car for that.

Sell the lot and get a HDTV you cheapskate!

same here, i used to play cs:s,fear and fm a lot on my p.c but since i've got my 360 i've hardly played them at all, i spent a lot of money on my p.c and it's all gone to waste really, amd fx-57,7800gtx EE,2gb corsair etc.... :( think i might 'downgrade' my p.c

Thats the kicker right there. I was sickened when I saw the price of those things. GPU prices are already bad as it is, and with every game feeling so sluggish and poorly coded it just doesn't inspire confidence. If those agiaiaiaigia cards become mainstream for gaming (i'm hoping it doesn't tbh) then it'll keep me on the console format for good.

Same, used to play a lot of CS:S when I was good at it and Football Manager, bought FM for the Xbox360 and it's SO much QUICKER on the Xbox360 I was amazed. Gave it to my friend now though.

The last graphics card I bought was a second hand Geforce4 Ti 4200 a few years ago :) It does everything I need. If I want to play some of the more demanding latest PC titles I would need to upgrade my whole computer, because the latest CPUs and graphics cards won't work with my socket 478 + AGP motherboard. Bugger that :)

I still enjoy a mix of both.

There's certain games that only work on a PC and there's certain games that only work on a console.

I generally play on my consoles more, but I still love Football Manager/Dawn of War/Total War/Battlefield 2/etc on my PC. These kind of games could never work on a console and I think I'd be limiting my gaming experience if I ditched my PC.

If I was in a situation where I only had the space/money for one, I'd probably pick a console though.
