I've Got Someone Sacked .....

End of the day he got a work mate sacked now the likelyhood of him getting a job anytime soon are very slim.

You went about it in totally the wrong way, no one likes a snitch.. except all the jobsworths.

Just keep an eye over your shoulder as the sacked bloke prob got serious rage :)

That's a very ***** attitude you have there.

If I was injured by someone operating heavy machinery under the influence I would be mighty peeved. The OP did the right thing under the circumstances.

no one likes a snitch

A guy at our work sent a message to me and another guy using OCS ... "Can I bang one of your sisters" (I then replied "ha ha")

The lad saved the message and reported it to the team leader and has now had a disciplinary about it. What a little pecker face, its just banter, like how my mates say they went to shag mum etc

Erm..... where are you going with this?

Always look the other way, even if you see something wrong happening? Perhaps hope that someone else will do something about it & then you can call them a 'snitch'?

But that isn't remotely similar to the situation under discussion! Sending a lewd message isn't exactly the same as driving a forklift drunk, is it?

Being a health and safety and union rep you done the right thing IMO. He knew what he was doing was wrong and left you no choice. He could have killed someone and you would have to live with that.

Fault lies with the earliest offence. Drinking. Ipso facto, he did the right thing. Everything from that first sip was a reaction.

Re: the update.

If you're going to bring it up, do it now. If not, don't bring it up again.
