:D

I'm going to be like a small child waiting for Christmas for the next two weeks!

I've also just ordered the Adobe Mastersuite + Lightroom and I will be ordering 4GB of RAM and Vista when MonkieMann lets me know how smooth his 64bit Vista install goes.

HE uplift.. what a waste of £50.

You could have had an Incase Neoprene sleeve off me :p

The HE uplift is well worth it, £50 +VAT for the extra two years of applecare. This is compared with paying £199 for it normally!
OOOOOoooo, that's what they want you to believe.

AppleCare Base Warranty Certificate for the Higher Education National Contract

This certificate confirms that you agreed to AppleCare Base Warranty Plan terms and conditions and the Apple product(s) entitled for coverage.

Please keep this certificate and the original proof of purchase for your Apple products as they may be required if there is any question as to the product's eligibility for service.

Below you will find a list of products entitled for AppleCare Base Warranty coverage. Please take a moment to review it. If corrections are necessary or if you have questions please call us on 0870 876 0753 (National Call Rate applies).

Coverage is now in effect. The AppleCare Base Warranty is a uniquely integrated service and support solution that extends your built-in service and support coverage from date of purchase as follows:
- 1 year phone support / Apple Applications Support (*)
- 3 years Hardware Warranty Parts & Labour (*)

The £50 ONLY pays for additional 2 years phone support, contrary to popular belief.

:)

I went for the wired keyboard because I don't like the small size of the wireless one. Having demoed it I decided to stick with a wired keyboard whilst I'm at my desk.

EVH, now you tell me!

I knew the extra £50 was just for phone support but I'm quite happy with that. As for your incase you should make these things known before I go and order a new laptop on the sly. :p

I'm looking forward to being a MBP club member. :D

I put it on MM along with a LaRobe Kakee case :p

You can always cancel them by going to your account.

So you still only have a 1 year warranty with 3 years phone support? I assumed it increased warranty to 3 years!

No.

For ALL Higher Education purchases you get 1 year phone, 3 years hardware support AS STANDARD.

The £50 gives you additional 2 years phone support.

ahh right - thanks for clearing that up. I was starting to panic as I was almost sure I had 3 year warranty!

When not buying on HE is a 3 year warranty standard also?
