"oops" indeed, especially for Aperture.... that's £54.99 people aren't paying! Bet there are a few new "owners" of that app now.

I just installed Mavericks on my new Air I got at the start of September and it said I had a free iWorks app bundle to claim. Downloading now...

Amazing, thanks to those who noticed this and shared the info!

I downloaded the iWork09 trial by googling for a trial, I think it was the softonic result that I clicked on.

Downloaded the dmg, installed the trial, tried it, upgraded to mavericks, opened the appstore and it detected iWork and updated to the latest version!

Hopefully the licences won't get revoked, but nothing lost by trying.

Apparently this "glitch" is intentional and also works w/ Aperture.

Aperture 3.03 trial works with the update too

My aperture trial asked for a serial from apple before install.. do you have a link you can offer to a trial that doesn't?
