Jack Daniels

Oh and about the stargate thing

JACK was like in the air force in stargate
Daniel was a scientist

They become a stand up double act and ruined the show after about 2 seasons.

It's a shame.

Those who like (good) Whisky/Whiskey/Bourbon can I recommend http://www.thedrinkshop.com - EXTREMELY good selection of all the above including some special versions/rarer sorts :D

Im rather fond of jack silver select - bout twice the price of standard but its good to break out at home with company :D

If thats links bad feel free to take it down and very sorry :)

Have you actually used that site? I've been looking at some rather nice single malts from there but I haven't went through with the process yet.

KaHn

Jack Daniel's - sour mash whiskey
Jim Beam - entry level bourbon. Nice with a mixer and ok neat
Southern Comfort - whiskey flavoured liqueur

If you want a nice sipping bourbon I highly recomend Maker's Mark - smooth & flavoursome.

Jim beam (White) is too spicy it's like drinking spice girl wee i imangine.
JB Black is much nicer, as is a whiskey sour made with JD - you can get a real cheat version in the pub by having a neat JD (pref a double) with a shot of lime in it.. certainly hits the spot :D

Definitely a JD man here, will usually drink it all night when out..

Woodford Reserve > JD
Never tried it, more expensive than JD though? JD is good for drinking all night if you're out on the lash, bridges the gap between crap spirits such as vodka and "proper" spirits.

Do you drink 'decent' vodka or just house/well vodka? If it is just that you don't like vodka in general I can understand but there is a huge range in quality and taste so I wouldn't dismiss them all too quickly :)

Not really a voddy fan at all tbh, reminds me of being at college and trying to be cool ;) I know there are a vast variety much the same as any spirit but to me it's for girls, cocktails and cheap student nights.

lol, vodka rocks all over JD, even the cheap ones. And then you get to the decent ones :)

woah, you perhaps would not be saying that after the joys of Tesco own brand Vodka... Last time I had any of that (penniless student at the time, albeit not necessarily the best excuse) it had the ingredients of water, alcohol and glycerol...

Even that beats the ming that is JD :D

But then you get to the other end of the scale. Grey Goose is pretty much the nicest spirit on the market :)

I'd have to disagree, it is nice but I don't think it is nice enough to warrant the price they charge for it. I'd prefer a nice bottle of Boru, Zubrowka or Stolichnaya and on the plus side none of them are French ;)

riddlermarc - fair enough, I disagree but that leaves more vodka for me :)

I quite like JD straight :p

Don't have it too often anymore , tend to go a bit OTT - had a litre of it last time and didn't feel too great the next day :o
Unsuprising.

Tesco own brand vodka = meths tbh
...and even though he's a girly-whiskey-flavoured-liqueur drinker, Gilly's right about the Grey Goose. Lovely drop!

Aye, it is french but its still the best (FACT, the drink's tagline is 'the world's best tasting vodka') :)

Stoli isn't bad but the only ones that come close to GG for me are Belvedere and Armadale. Boru is very smooth but I don't like the aftertaste.

just get a friend to pick you some up from america, It quite cheap over there i picked 2 bottles up for 50 dollers about £14 a bottle, not bad.

Maybe that is the tagline but who rates it? Carlsberg is "probably the best lager in the world", at least they have the good grace not to be quite so arrogant over something so subjective plus their adverts are usually funny :)

I'll have to try Belvedere and Armadale as I haven't got round to them yet so cheers for that. Stoli I include partly because it is normally relatively cheap for a good quality vodka although it probably isn't the best.
