That's something I don't understand with AMD - this card and the previous generation have been more power efficient than Nvidia cards but no-one seems to come up with versions that are quieter? One plus point is that it looks v quiet at idle, but i'll be waiting for the custom cooling versions come out

why not take inspiration from EVGA? The classified has a bigger fan and there is clearly room to perhaps go up to 90mm fans.It would not interfere in any ways at all if EVGA can do it why not ati.
Or why not a version with an included kit like the H80? Intel did it with SB-E i would love to be able to do that in my case.It could go to the front 120mm easily.Modding takes real guts there is no way i would let myself near a £500 GPU with a screwdriver.

Do you need a "next gen" motherboard with that new pci milarky (like the asrock gen3 boards) for these cards?

Hmm, so why did i bother buying this next gen mobo again then?
It might make more of a difference if someone went dual gpu, but atm iirc, there are no gains.
