III was a very good port to NDS, a bit more mystical too. They do evolve nicely though.
I've got IV on the ds just now aswell.

FFXII is an awesome game, the only gripe I have with it is the summon spells are pretty much not needed apart from opening one door.
In fact, FFXII also has the option for real time combat albeit with selecting attacks if you are fast enough (I'm not).
just ran the benchmark too, 1680x1050 fullscreen averaging 24.92fps
not that high but its still playable. it dropped to around 9fps on the spinning gun zoomed in...
And I only tend to use the Espers just for the whole "dramatic coolness" effect like trying to get a final shot on a major boss or something, timing it with the music too. When you really look at it though, it is all optional since it offers a huge range of different ways you can play the game.
Far too many people are on the FFXII hate train, but I for one personally enjoyed the game myself. And yeah I do have to say, I barely ever use magic attack spells since once you have powerful weapons, like the Zodiac Spear, it makes them completely obsolete. Yeah that was one of the areas where the framerate just dropped like crazy to the low areas. I mean it didn't really look too special so there must be some really bad coding for the graphics effects there.
yeh probably bad coding, and the texture of it didnt look that good anyway.
didnt play FF12 since i didnt have a UK PS2, and.. i was hooked on mmo's during that time, FF7,8,9 are my all time faves especially 8... loved the juntion system.![]()
If you were hooked on MMOs or at least tried FFXI, then FFXII would be a breeze for you if you ever tried it.
