Japanese Grand Prix 2010, Suzuka - Race 16/19

Okay, so whats happening with qualifying now? Is it going ahead or will they line up on the grid tomorrow in their championship positions?

According to the sporting regulations - they need a 4 hour gap between the publication of the official grid results and the parade lap.

Having the qualifying at 10am... doesn't leave them the mandated gap...

Now it's been postponed till tomorrow, they need to discuss what will happen if that doesn't go ahead. There's regs that says in car number order, others that say championship order...

Qualifying session will finish at about 3am, race starts at 7am. They're cutting it fine, but there should be the required gap.

Its the official grid list - not what is produced at the end of qualifying. It's after the scruiteneers have had a shufti at the cars and all the software versions, tyres, times and everything else has been confirmed as correct.

That normally takes a couple of hours to come out.

race back heavily in RB's favour (even if the track is new , ie not rubbered in, and damp):(

whats the betting one of the leading drivers will crash out in quali pushing too hard (and therefore potentially not have a car ready for the race with such little time between)

All for the grid being put in Car No order :D (did anyone mention possibility of it going in current championship order on the quali show? think thats even less likely to happen)

So not much point watching the recording then.
Car numbers would be awesome, but as mclaren said it's not going to happen. There will be qauli and I expect teams will Agee to ignore the 4hr rule. Or maybe q1 only? Going to be interesting anyway. If done one has a semi bad crash they'll be screwed for race.
