Would it make sense for Button to let Hamilton through and give him a chance to attack Alonso, Button will just be holding up Lewis now on the hard tyre.

Wouldn't be all surprised to see that happen, maybe not let Hamilton through, but I can see Hamilton getting ahead at the safety car line.

Nope. The last two races have shown us that when Lewis tries to overtake the person he's trying to pass has no problems but Lewis ends up retiring.

And he was getting overtaken a lot which under SC rules is most verboten.
